Your skin is a living changing organism, a product that works when your young, may not do the same when your a little older.
Truth
As we age our skin changes with that it requires different treatment and products often change. If you feel a much loved product is no longer having the desired results, look around for a new Fav! Technologies may of changed since you last found that great product, salons and department stores are glorious for samples.

MYTH: Tanning is good for your skin.
Unfortunately many people think that the sun can clear their skin, revive tired or dull skin just from spending a few more hours under the rays.
Truth
All that can be achieved is covering up or masking the complexion problems, in turn compounding the problem and in some cases cause whole new problems like skin cancer. Even before such serious problems smaller damage occurs premature aging, wrinkles and fine lines, and sun spots.
You should always apply at least a factor SPF15 if you are in Australia, or Spain that should always be SPF30+, there is also a misconception that you do not need to apply sun cream on cloudy days this also is completely wrong. UV exposure can be higher on overcast days than sunny days, and winter is no different.
When you are in the shade reading that nice book again cover up, UV rays the enemy penetrate to even the shaded areas, white skin is beautiful skin!
