Endermologie Celulite Treatment Lumologie
Endermologie - Lumologie
Celulite Control and Treatment
Endermologie is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure used to treat cellulite in both ladies and men alike. The Endermologie machine works on both suction and a rolling action combined. It lifts and stimulates the skin, thus increasing circulation, aiding in fluid retention and generally improves the overall appearance of the skin. Endermologie helps the breakdown the cellulite and therefore defines the body shape.
Cellulite is a condition, which affects 80-90% of the female population. It is often mistaken for being associated with obesity and overeating. This is not true. When the collection of fat cells become trapped in the connective fibrous tissue and the blood supply and lymphatic drainage from the area are compromised, cellulite is the unfortunate end result.
It is commonly described as the “orange peel” appearance of the skin. Most parts of the body can be treated, but the most common complaint is the mid section on ladies especially. It is not at all unusual for men to have cellulite, particularly around the abdomen, hips and chest areas. As I said, overeating and obesity is not the cause of cellulite, however poor nutrition, smoking and circulatory problems are huge factors to contributing to this too common problem. Cellulite can also be the result of a hormonal dysfunction, hereditary problem and poor circulation.
I would always describe this treatment and lumologie as the last step before liposuction. However it is also beneficial to undergo a course of endermologie treatment having had liposuction as both procedures compliment one another aiding in the overall tone, texture and appearance of the skin. I would recommend a course of at least 10 treatment sessions, having at least 2 treatments per week. Ideally you should have 3 treatments a week.
Alongside having the treatment you should follow a healthy diet, have regular exercise and drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins from the body. Avoid caffeine, smoking and junk food.
Each treatment last 30 minutes and is controlled by a timer, ensuring you have your full treatment time. It works on a set programme using different movements and levels of intensity, depending on the individuals needs. The first session and the last is generally slightly longer as you will be measured and weighed etc. A consultation card and consent form should always be carried out to ensure you are suitable for the treatment and the nothing contra-indicates you from having the treatment.
You will be supplied a body stocking and will be asked to wear this for each treatment. This enables the machine to glide more easily over the body and also acts as a protective barrier against possible contamination infection. Ask your therapist if you can leave your body stocking safe in the salon / clinic to avoid loosing or forgetting it.
As with all treatments, I would recommend you shop around, ask plenty of questions, dedicate yourself and follow all guidelines and homecare advice.
