How to care for eyelash perming
Eye Lash Perming
Beauty Care
An eyelash perm can easily take 30 minutes or so, depending on the therapist. However once the treatment is complete there really isn’t anything else you must do. As a general rule, I would always recommend you use a gentle eye make up remover, never wear eye make up to bed (as tedious as it is on a Saturday night having been out on the town) and for anyone wearing contacts ensure you use, remove and dispose of correctly.
The eyelash perm should last about a month or so. Initially it looks quite curled, giving you a dramatic look. In time, this will drop slightly and over time you will notice it becomes less effective.
Some ladies find that with an eyelash time and eyelash perm combined treatment they have no need to wear mascara and some don’t even feel the need for eye makeup period. This cuts out at least 4 minutes of gazing in the mirror in the morning trying to match one eye to the other – one less thing to worry about when you are already late for your 9am meeting.
A handy little trick is to rub a small amount of Vaseline to the lashes (and eyebrows too for that matter) to further highlight and emphasise the lashes or brows. I always recommend this to ladies who don’t like mascara or feel it’s too dark for them.
So really having both tints and perms leave you with more time in the morning, less to do, less to remove and you don’t have that fear of having panda eyes. It’s amazing how an eyelash perm can open up your eyes. For optimum results have both a lash tint and perm together, always ensuring to have a patch test for both 24 – 48 hours prior to treatment.
