Lumologie Celulite Beauty Advice
Lumologie - Endermologie
Celulite Control and Treatment
Lumologie is another excellent treatment to treat the appearance of cellulite in both men and women, which has been used for over 30 years worldwide. Although the lumologie treatments vary in how they operate, both endermologie and lunologie are identical in protocols and results. They are both non-invasive, non-surgical procedures used to treat cellulite in both ladies and men alike.
Cellulite is a condition, which affects 80-90% of the female population. It is often mistaken for being associated with obesity and overeating.
This is not true.
When the collection of fat cells become trapped in the connective fibrous tissue and the blood supply and lymphatic drainage from the area are compromised, cellulite is the unfortunate end result. It is commonly described as the “orange peel” appearance of the skin. Most parts of the body can be treated, but the most common complaint is the mid section on ladies especially.
It is not at all unusual for men to have cellulite, particularly around the abdomen, hips and chest areas. As I said, overeating and obesity is not the cause of cellulite, however poor nutrition, smoking and circulatory problems are huge factors to contributing to this too common problem. Cellulite can also be the result of a hormonal dysfunction, hereditary problem and poor circulation.
I would always describe this treatment and endermologie as the last step before liposuction. However it is also beneficial to undergo a course of lumnologie treatment having had liposuction as both procedures compliment one another aiding in the overall tone, texture and appearance of the skin. I would recommend a course of at least 10 treatment sessions, having at least 2 treatments per week. Ideally, you should have 3 treatments a week.
Alongside having the treatment, you should follow a healthy diet, have regular exercise and drink plenty of water to help eliminate toxins from the body. Avoid caffeine, smoking, and junk food.
Treatment time can vary between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the individual needs. Similar to the endermologie machine, it is controlled by a timer to ensure you receive your full treatment time. There are various programmes, some working on a vacuum suction method and others using the roller technique. Combined, this gives you a complete treatment to aid in displeasing aspects of cellulite. If you follow the guidelines and homecare correctly, you will reap the benefits.
These include
- - Helps tone the skin
- - Stimulates lymphatic and blood circulation
- - Assist in body contouring
- - Reduces cellulite
- - Helps eliminate toxins
- - Restores the skin’s suppleness and elasticity.
- - Reduces toxins and fatty deposits
- - Relaxes and rejuvenates
Warming creams and or serums are used to increase circulation and lubricate the skin allowing the treatment to work at its best. Cooling gel may be applied after the treatment to cool the area, however I always feel it is more beneficial to leave the warming cream / serum on the skin for the remainder of the day. Redness is a completely normal reaction and bruising is also quite common. Arnica is an excellent natural way to treat bruises and will not interfere with your treatment.
The first session and the last is generally slightly longer as you will be measured and weighed etc. A consultation card and consent form should always be carried out to ensure you are suitable for the treatment and the nothing contra-indicates you from having the treatment.
As with all treatments, I would recommend you shop around, ask plenty of questions, dedicate yourself and follow all guidelines and homecare advice.
