As the two main ingredients are lavender and balm mint they helps to sooth and calm irritated skin. This is particularly effective for men using this cleanser as a shaving medium. Please note – always use a separate eye cleanser. Soothing Eye Make up Remover is an excellent choice. Ultra Calming Cleanser may also be used on the eye area.

It is essential to protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun by using an effective SPF. If you have sensitive skin Ultra Sensitive Face Block is an excellent choice. Titanium Dioxide being the main ingredient means your skin has the protection it needs.

It also gives a natural tint to the product, giving your skin a natural, even appearance. Don’t be mistaken. This is not a tinted moisturiser or foundation. It contains no artificial fragrance or colour. It is purely the particles of titanium dioxide, which add colour to this beautifully moisturising face block.

The inclusion of vitamin A, C and E form a protective shield against environmental drying and irritation. Balm mint, cornflower, green tea and grape seed are all soothing and calming on the skin. Although this is an excellent choice for sensitised skin.

I have a preference to Dermalogica’s Solar Defence Booster SPF 30 for three reasons ;

1. It contains a higher SPF.
2. It can be mixed in with your foundation / moisturiser or can be applied over your moisturiser, making it flexible in use.
3. Ultra Sensitive Face Block has a slight scent which many people dislike.

It is essential you wear an SPF, which will protect your skin, but it is also equally important to wear one, which is suited to your skin type.

Sheer tint moisture SPF 15 is one of Dermalogica’s prize products. Many clients used to have the problem of needing a moisture protective with a little more than Active Moist, but not quite as rich as Skin Smoothing Cream. Now that we have Sheer Tint Moisture SPF13, we can accommodate these clients.

This lightweight moisturiser is oil free and feels comfortable on the skin whether it be tinted or untinted. Natural Zinc Oxide is added to provide us with an excellent protective barrier from damaging UV rays. This product is available in light, medium, dark and untinted catering for all skin types.

As it contains an SPF, be sure to use a different moisturiser at night. As a general rule, you should use a slightly more rich moisturiser at night. If you do not have a separate day/night moisturiser this is perfectly okay. At night apply you moisture protective a little heavier.
